Happy Monday yall! What a great weekend we just wrapped up. We want to give a big happy birthday shoutout to our Thursday regular @shanmcalivelovelife for celebrating her birthday with us at @jerrysdeadofficial this past Thursday! It just so happened that her birthday and her husband’s birthdays this year both fell on Thursdays so they both got to celebrate with us🎈⚡️ It warms our heart to know we get to be a part of our community’s special moments. Thanks for letting us help make your day special, and thanks for leaving the extra cupcakes for our team💜💛💚 Happy birthday Shannon!
Staff highlight - Meet Brad, our live music booker/talent buyer/ outdoor show site lead. He wears lots of hats🎩🧢🍻🎶
Brad has been in Asheville since 2016, and has worked in the music industry for many years. His favorite parts of this work are getting to see such a wide variety of live music and also getting to meet new people. Brad explains that between fans, co-workers and music industry folks, it’s a treat to get to meet people from all walks of life because we all share love for live music.
When we asked Brad what his favorite thing about working at French Broad was, he said “French broad has been such a positive place to work. The team is wonderful and French Broad has been such an Asheville staple for so long, it still has that organic feel. From the brewers to the taproom team to ownership, everyone truly cares so much about the brand and how to keep pushing it forward.”
Fun fact about Brad is that he’s an avid fly fisherman and big Baltimore Orioles fan. Go O’s! We’re grateful to have Brad on the team! Be on the lookout for him bopping around at our outdoor shows this summer!

A two-time Grammy winner and longtime backbone of The Allman Brothers Band, and more recently Dead & Company, Oteil Burbridge has been absolutely killing it for decades. We’re so excited to welcome him and this top-tier lineup to our stage.

The Movement and Pepper bring the HIGH TIDE SUMMER TOUR to our outdoor stage September 3, with special guest, Surfer Girl - Music. The Movement have been holding it down in the alt-reggae world for years with heavy rhythm sections and thoughtful songwriting, while Pepper comes through with their Kona dub-rock mix of reggae, rock, and punk energy. Ages 12+

We’re very excited to announce the release of our 2026 Spring Small Batch, The Maibock Lager!
The Maibock is a German style pale lager with a light body, 6.2%ABV, notes of toasted brioche and white pepper. Brewed with German noble hops, Tettnanger and Saaz, it has a bit of low bitterness along with slightly fruity aromatics, rounded out by hints of herb and spice. The Maibock is a traditional springtime offering, and we’re really excited to be able to share it with all of you this season!
Come by the taproom tomorrow, May 21st, to be among the first to give this special beer a try! We’ve got live music all day with Jazz Brunch from 11am-2pm, followed by @companyswing1 from 6-9pm. Both shows are free and $1 from each pint sold will be donated to our friends over at @river.link for our springtime fundraiser! 🍕🍻
