THE GILL FRANCIS BAND
Americana, soaked in soul. Fronted by Asheville-based singer Gill Francis, The Gill Francis Band weaves together the warmth of Southern storytelling, the depth of soul, and the freedom of modern jazz. Backed by an all-star lineup — Justin Stanton (keyboards & trumpet), David Katilius (bass), Chris Everett (guitar), and Brandon Phelps (drums) — the group brings rich harmony, groove, and improvisation to the stage. Their sound flows from heartfelt ballads to rhythm-driven jams, all grounded in Francis’s expressive voice and magnetic presence. The result is a live experience that’s equal parts soulful, spontaneous, and unmistakably Asheville.

It’s finally about that time of year again... 🍻We’re beyond excited to officially share the full lineup of 2026 Outdoor Summer Concert Series!
Being part of Asheville’s live music scene has always been one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. The opportunity to host large-scale outdoor concerts alongside AMH allowed us to expand and bring even more live music to our little mountain town. Now, in 2026, we’re continuing down that path, but this time, with our own in-house production, and we couldn’t be more excited about this new endeavor.
These shows have become a true staple of summers here at the brewery. If you’ve joined us at one, you may have experienced some of the magic for yourselves… the music, the energy, a beer in hand, the sun setting behind the stage. Last year was supposed to be a big one for us, but with our reopening in April, we were only able to host a handful of shows, and while those nights were special, we knew we were just getting started. This year, we’re making up for lost time and taking things to the next level. Our own production, a full lineup of incredible artists, our pizza shop back up and running, and more! We can’t wait to welcome you back for another unforgettable season✨
If you don’t know who we are, we’re a small local brewery that likes to throw a big party! When we’re not hosting outdoor shows, our taproom is a gathering place for beer, pizza, and local music lovers, with special events seven days/week. Our community is everything to us and is what makes this place feel like home. Come by any day of the week for a taste of Asheville’s music, art, beer, and food.
We hope to see many of our friends and visitors at this year’s shows. We’ve dropped show dates here and there but we’re excited to finally share the full lineup with this post! Grab your tickets now. This summer is going to be one for the books🍻
✨PSA: JAZZ BRUNCH IS BACK✨
Kicking off Jazz Brunch in the taproom this past winter was so special! After a short break, we’re excited to welcome it back for the spring and summer starting May 2nd.
If you haven’t experienced Jazz Brunch yet, here’s what you can expect: from the moment the music begins, the taproom fills with that perfect weekend energy… laid-back jazz, delicious brunch, great beer, and a room full of friends. It’s exactly the kind of atmosphere we hoped to create when this idea first came to life!
We’re especially excited to continue working with our house Jazz band, “Four Peanuts”, whose smooth, soulful sound brings everything together. Their music pairs effortlessly with the relaxed brunch setting, turning an ordinary afternoon into something to remember! The all-new brunch menu is absolutely something to be excited about! French Broad River Pizza will be serving up a mix of breakfast and lunch favorites designed to pair perfectly with a chill afternoon in the taproom.
This event is free and open to all ages + dogs! 11:30AM – 2:30 PM every Saturday!
Thank you for supporting live music, local artists, and community gatherings here at the taproom! Cheers to all of the Jazz Brunches ahead!
Happy Earth Day🌎🌿🐠
One of the best ways to celebrate earth day is to crack open a cold one and enjoy some nature… then of course head over to the taproom for another cold one and @saylorbrothers Jam Grass Jam (starting now)✨
Here at French Broad River Brewery, we are committed to conservation and supporting our local ecosystem, especially with our French Broad River, which is one of the oldest rivers in the world, and runs through the heart of Asheville. It is not just a natural wonder but also a vital resource for the community, with rich history and ecological importance that make it a symbol of life and sustainability in our region.
The river is more than just inspo for our brewery name, and all of our beer mascots, the “critters” as we like to call them - who you see on all of our packaging, cans, and merch! It’s a crucial part of our identity. We recognize the need to preserve the river’s vitality and have always been committed to doing our part through sustainable brewing practices, community engagement, eco-friendly packaging, and partnerships with local conservation groups.
We encourage all of our guests and friends to do the same! If you’re interested in helping, please take a moment to check out and follow some of our River partners, @river.link @fbriverkeeper. These organizations have allowed us to support efforts by reducing pollution, restoring natural habitats, and promoting sustainable water management practices. They do wonderful things for the community and deserve lots of recognition this Earth Day🌍
Cheers to the river, the land, the critters, and all that make our planet so amazing🍻
Jerry’s Dead Tonight 6-9⚡️ Quick shoutout to these 4… they light up our taproom every Thursday with some of the absolute best Grateful Dead/JGB music you can find in Asheville. We wouldn’t be who we are without our Thursday nights and these guys are to thank for that! Big love to @jerrysdeadofficial 💜💛💚
