In case you didn’t know… we have calzones. 🤤😋🫠
Some people say calzones are silly because they’re just a pizza folded in half. We couldn’t disagree more.
Why calzones are amazing:
1. They’re pizza’s smarter, more sophisticated cousin. Everything you love about pizza… just neatly tucked inside like a delicious little secret. It gets not one, but two cheeses and you can also stuff it with as many toppings as you want!
2. Perfect ingredient distribution. Every bite is balanced. No rogue toppings sliding off. No sad crust-only bites.
3. They’re kind of dramatic. There’s something deeply satisfying about cutting one open and watching all the cheesy goodness spill out. Iykyk.
4. The doughy ends are basically built-in garlic knots.
That golden, fluffy, slightly crispy dough at each end🫠It’s like the calzone thoughtfully included two garlic knots for free.
Coming from me (Sam), this calzone has quickly become my go-to from @frenchbroadriverpizza. It truly gets the chef’s kiss. 👌 If you haven’t tried one yet… consider this your sign.

Keller & the Keels bring their Appalachian Psychedelic Bluegrass sound to our outdoor stage on August 29, to celebrate 20 years of Grass, the trio’s first of three albums together. @kellerwilliams will be joined by award-winning flatpicker, @larrykeel and his rock-solid, in-the-pocket bass-playing wife, Jenny Keel. We absolutely cannot wait for this one. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10am!

Alex Bazemore and Friends is a mash up of local Asheville “all star” musicians set to explore new musical frontiers together and have fun doing their thing. Alex and his rotating cast of local musicians play sets with ranging genres and styles influenced by everything from bluegrass to folk, jam, funk, and blues.

JUST ANNOUNCED! ✨🍻🎶 We’re very excited to announce the first outdoor show of the year at French Broad River Brewery… two nights of @beatsantique on May 29 & 30! The Bay Area trio blends world rhythms, live instrumentation, and electronic production into an immersive live show that feels equal parts dance party and theatrical experience.
Music has always been part of what we do here at French Broad River Brewery… from intimate taproom shows to packed outdoor concerts, Asheville’s music community has shaped this place as much as the beer itself. “FOUR PEANUTS,” Jazz fusion trio explores both original compositions and zesty covers of tunes you may or may not know. The trio features @taub.alex, @brennangram, and @electric.jophis, and they absolutely never disappoint🎷

We’re excited to welcome @imericneumann to the stage for this specialty Friday The 13th show! Eric Neumann is one of the fastest rising stand-up comedians on the comedy scene today. His late night debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon was named “Set of the Week” by Vulture Magazine. Fresh from a sold out debut performance at the coveted Gramercy Theatre this past April, Eric continues to earn his moniker as “the best thing out of New York since a dollar slice”, as described by Big Laugh Comedy.
Eric has appeared on Comedy Central’s This Week at the Comedy Cellar and Netflix’s The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show. His three albums/specials, Nervous Lover, Just a Phase and most recently, But Enough About Me: A Crowd Work Album, all reached #1 on the iTunes Comedy charts and are currently playing on SiriusXM.
He is currently on a nationwide tour, headlining major comedy venues across the country. When not on the road, Eric lives in Manhattan, where he is a regular at the Comedy Cellar.
