Jam > Grass > Jam with the Saylor Brothers + special guests happens at French Broad River Brewery every Wednesday night from 6:30 – 8:30 pm! This bluegrass jam is led by The Saylor Brothers and Greg Stiglets with a rotating cast of special guests, making each week is different and unique. This is a free show, with no cover charge.
The Saylor Brothers are a jamgrass fusion group from Asheville, North Carolina fronted by brothers Will & Ben Saylor, of Brushfire Stankgrass. This project is a foray further into the realm of bluegrass jam, with more emphasis on improvisation piled on top of a structure of traditional bluegrass and innovative original songwriting. As a trio with Greg Stiglets on bass, the band packs a large sound coming from three acoustic instruments, and often adds a fourth and fifth player for further improvisational and bluegrass firepower.

These two are a staple of our community, especially on Wednesday nights, which has become known as “Stella’s favorite day of the week”. Stella brings so much joy to the taproom with each person she meets. Stella is a 10 year old St. Bernard with a heart of gold, a love for live music, and an awesome owner to match. The company of these two and the rest of the Jam Grass Jam Fam is something we look forward to every week 💜

What is JAM GRASS JAM on Wednesdays at French Broad?
The Jam Grass Jam project is a foray further into the realm of bluegrass jam; with an emphasis on improvisation piled on top of a traditional bluegrass structure and original songwriting.
As a trio with The @saylorbrothers and @stig_stiglets on bass, the band packs a large sound coming from three acoustic instruments. More often than not, the added elements of a fourth musician’s talent comes from weekly special guest sit-ins for further improvisational + instrumental and vocal power.
