Anvils and Donuts…

Having recently made the extralogical leap that connects donuts and beer–call it a Homeresque intuition–the French Broad Brewery is happy, and a little bit nervous, to announce the impending tapping of a revolutionary cask. Yes, folks, we dropped a pair of Dunkin Donuts into a cask of Anvil Porter. Come and get it. This weekend only. Bring ice cream or something.

Goings and comings…

Sad to say we floated the last keg of SuperHero IPA yesterday in the Tasting Room. We thank Assistant Brewer John Silver for the original idea and for setting up the collaboration with Fanaticon2, Fanaticon2 for so handily facilitating us, Billy Klingel at Oyster House Brewing for his help with the recipe, and Asheville’s thirsty for making it the fastest selling one-off batch in French Broad’s history. But, on this June 1st, be not dismayed, Ashevillians: the regular staple French Broad IPA will debut soon, even as SuperHero rides off into the sunset, brilliant, fading, gone but in our hearts and occasional dreamtime visitations…
